EFL League two side (Fourth division in the English Football system) Grimsby Town beat Manchester United 12-11 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the Carabao/League Cup. Onana made some blunders.
The match reminded me of the under-14 Brazil Football Centre in Malaysia, who beat PKNS more than a decade ago to win the PKNS Cup 12-11 on penalties after a draw.
Great memories on that shoot-out as I was there as an Assistant Coach for BFC. But back to this game, United seem to struggle just like in the Fulham game.
Amorim just went at side of dug out almost at the back and never watched the penalty shoot out!!! Just looking down all the way..scared obviously...while Grimsby coach was laughing and talking to his assistant. ..my bet is Amorim might quit before end of the season.
Jonathan Hall- 77 years ago he watched Manchester United and Grimsby Town play a 1-1 draw at Blundell Park in 1948, that was the last time they met, Hall was there to see the match today. What a feeling it must be for him.
