Who would have thought that both Real Madrid and Barcelona will not only be beaten, but soundly beaten, the clash between Borussia Dortmund V Real and Barcelona V Bayern  was a shocker, never mind which leg of the match. Both legs were a blast for the German teams, but for Barcelona to lose 7-0 on aggregate was never expected, interestingly all four clubs in the semi finals are community clubs, especially the German clubs. Borussia's  team value was 29 million pounds in total value of the team that played in  the first leg, Cristiano Ronaldo is more expensive compared to that.! Bayern however do not have the feel of a community club, they have players from Africa, France, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands. They aim to please by spending, but let us not forget they played brilliant football. Their investment in youth has paid off handsomely with players like Thomas Mueller, Bayern also showed loyalty to their Dutch winger Arjen Robben who was whistled by his own fans after many frustrating performances which culminated in them losing to Chelsea in the Champions League final last year.

 He was  accused of shooting when he was favoured to pass and passing when he was favoured  to shoot. In all fairness Robben is a left legged, but he is continuously asked to play on the right wing, so if you watch Robben carefully you will see him trying to cut in to the middle of the pitch from the right so he can better adjust himself by using his left foot. Why he is put in that position nobody knows accept Jupp Heycnkes, the Bayern coach. Doom mongers now say that it is the end of Barcelona, I would not go that far, it is the end of a cycle and they need to build  another team, but this team still has at least two more years to give one last go. Barcelona have been outstanding for 5 years now and never lost a match in this way so it is just unfamiliar territory and let us not forget they still have Messi. The real problem (pardon the pun) is Real Madrid, always in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, before it was Raul instigating player power surges and now it is Sergio Ramos and Iker Cassilas, Mourinho will be leaving for sure,but the prospect of all German final at Wembley will be interesting and hopefully not boring.
