Not these chaps above, i think they are from England, but I could not get a good pic you can mess with these guys anytime maybe, as ref standards in England are going down!
Never Mess(i) with the international brotherhood of refs. If you saw in the first leg of the match between Milan and Barcelona, you would have seen how the Italians got away with pulling of the shirt especially of Puyol, right in front of the ref and the goal linesman. This time however it never escaped and Nesta should know better, he gave away two penalties and one for shirt pulling, kudos to the ref for giving it. It seems like shirt pulling is a normal thing in the game when it is not, I hope UEFA and FIFA clarify this again and maybe coaches should give a team talk on basics instead of talking about formations. What Nesta did you would expect it in a playground, hell! Actually you would not even see that in a playground or park.
Nevertheless it has gone on too long, Barca manager, Guardiola was right, he said some refs would not give it and accept it, but a foul is a foul and this ref gave it. Milan tried the same compact defensive play at Nou Camp, but the pitch here is wider compared to San Siro and it was a bad move by Milan, as they got tired Messi scored two goals from the spot, there seemed to be hope when Milan equalised, but it all went away with that silly shirt pulling by Nesta and Milan lost their cool. 3-1 (on aggregate too) to Barca with Messi scoring now 51 Champions League goals.
Elsewhere Chelsea beat Benfica 2-1 (3-1 aggregate), Bayern beat Marseille 2-0 (4-0 on aggregate) and Real Madrid smashed Apoel 5-2 (8-2 aggregate) Ronaldo getting a brace.
