Everyone thought it would be a Barcelona V Real Madrid final, but it turned out to be Bayern against Chelsea and it will be at Bayern's home ground! Barcelona were carved out by Chelsea and Real Madrid in the Champions League and La Liga. Chelsea had the spirit to take them selves to the final and Roberto Di Matteo brought tremendous change, but Chelsea will miss key players like Terry, Meireles and Ramirez .
This will be cannon fodder to Bayern who will now think it is their year. Barca's passing machine had to stop one day and now it is time for some servicing, perhaps a lone target man a lone wolf working like a sniper up-front will do the trick. Llorente of Bilbao might be the man, although to be fair Barca missed David Villa. Real Madrid though have to be more of a team and stop behaving like they know better than Mourinho. Casilas and Ramos still feel that they can influence the team and perhaps this is the problem. Bayern are more like a team and seem to have the right formula with players from Brasil, Netherlands and France in their stable. They play with discipline and fluency, Chelsea? Well let me put it this way; would you want a team that virtually threw out their manager with the urging of the players?...Players like Terry and Cole, it is also obvious that Di Matteo is only there for a while and he seems to "share" the coaching duties with Terry, Drogba and co, what type of example will the Champions League or football set if Chelsea win?
