United Kick Chelsea Off the Park

Park' s tireless performance once again was instrumental in United's win

Manchester United made their way to the semi-finals of the Champions League with a 2-1 win against Chelsea and goals by Hernandez Chicarita and Park Ji-Sung made sure of that. The man of the match? Park , who else, despite this being a classy team performance by United, Park has always done his fair share of work for United, his off the ball performance goes unnoticed by many people.

He is of course not a Messi, but make no mistake he is equally important to a team that always need the blue collar worker (Park)  working his ass off in the factory floor while  those executives (like Messi) plan those fashionable marketing plans.

Park was rejected by many clubs in Korea because of his small stature and he had to work hard and he was only taken by Japanese club Kyoto Purple Sanga in Japan playing the J-League second division. His parents used to give frog soup just to make him stronger and they always said that he will go on to better things.

Team-mate Michael Carrick said;  "He's so appreciated in the dressing room. A lot of the work he does goes unseen by many, but not by us, I can assure you of that. We appreciate everything he does and he's popped up again with a vital goal but his overall performance was just brilliant for us."

Sir Alex said that leaving him out of the 2008 Champions League final squad was the toughest decision he had to make, but no way is he going to be out of the United first eleven if he United make it to Wembley.
