Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League after putting on a brave fight, what turned out to be such a promising season is turning out to be a diasaster for the Red Devils so far. The first leg was hard to swallow, but even worse was the second leg in Manchester, after taking a 3-0 lead United let in 2 goals against Bayern and lost on away goals rule and that is even harder to handle for United fans. Add to the the loss to Chelsea to a Drogba off-side goal, United fans are most definitely having an ulcer.
Meanwhile Arsenal will have no problems accepting defeat to Barcelona, they lost to a great team, but more importantly the greatest player in the soccer world at the moment. Lionel Messi's performance only gives hope that there is room for brilliant and silky individual skills. While I personally would still like to see a player like Zidane, Messi brings a different dimension to the game, which was thought impossible when Maradona retired. That is the great thing aboout football the players come in all shapes and sizes and Messi what a "Size"! Meanwhile for United fans who are getting a lot of stick from "other supporters" I am sure that MU will regroup for next season. As a sign of mourning I am not putting up any pictures for this blog.
