Red Devils Beat Milan 3-2

Manchester United broke the AC Milan jinx winning 3-2 in a entertaining Champions League second round first leg match (at San Siro)that saw both teams playing at full throttle। Milan striked the first blow when they scored in the 3rd minute of the game when Ronaldinho's shot was deflected in by Ferdinand। Milan played at avery fast pace in the first half but Paul Scholes equalised in the 36th minute when he tricked himself and the Milan team when a cross by Fletcher was turned by him।

Scholes raised his right leg for a volley, but the ball spun off his left leg and rolled to the right handside of Milan keeper Dida and hit the post before going in। Rooney sealed the match with two exquisite headers in the second-half (65th and 73rd minute) after with a cross from Antonia Valencia (who came on for Nani ) and Darren Fletcher। United will have to do without Carrick in the second leg after his injury time send-off।

Nani still has a lot to prove when it comes to European nights। His crosses and decision making still leaves much to be desired. After United went 3-1 up, Milan scored a scond through veteran Clarence Seedorf, it was the inexperience of Rafael when he left his station to wander up and a sudden thrust by Milan found Seedorf. Overall it was a good match by both teams, United were sloppy in the first half, but in the second half Milan who started the match at hundred-miles per hour faded away in the second half. Ronaldinho was the best player for them with his box full of tricks. David Beckham played a very quiet match, psychologically he did not have the heart to play against his beloved Red Devils and was substittuted in the second half. Leonardo the Milan manager should have made some susbstitutions earlier, but he could only stand and watch as United put in three goals.
